The Pollution Of Politics.

The Pollution Of Politics.

It all seems a little bit pathetic to me that 119 world leaders cannot come up with a proper agreement to tackle climate change. This has all been going on since the seventh of December and they still seem to be no closer to settling on anything. If these were children that were meeting up to discuss the best way of sharing out a jar of sweets then it might be understandable but these men are supposed to be in charge of countries around the globe.

This is the twenty-first century and you would have thought that we had all learn a few things about working together by now. There have been countless wars, two world wars and all kinds of scientific discoveries. Have these things not taught us anything at all? It would appear not.

The part that I find more frustrating than anything else is just how important this all is. For years, most ordinary people have been going out of their way to make a difference to the environment. We are all aware of Co2 emissions and do everything within our power to reduce them and recycling is something that just about everyone is making a huge effort with. So, if the majority of intelligent people are striving to make a difference why aren’t world leaders doing the same?

America and China are the biggest polluters on the whole planet and yet (surprise, surprise) it is these two countries that have the largest problem with changing their ways. Britain has pledged to reduce its Co2 emissions by a staggering 42 percent and that is ten times the USA’s proposal.

Our leaders really do need to pull their finger out. The governments have always had the power to change, to some extent, the world pollution. Ordinary folk are already doing their bit.

One last thing, I think that all of those who are into a greener lifestyle really need to look at this. This Enigin blog has some really awesome ideas for businesses who are concerned about thier environmental impact, I am really loving them right now.
